I don't have Chrome installed at this moment. Here's the output of Etrecheck (great utility, by the way!). It has two main functions: shows you what files could be deleted (you decide which ones to delete) and optionally finds duplicate files. Just to make sure it's clear: I don't have AVG Antivirus installed, just a program called AVG Cleaner, which is kind of junk cleaner. My guess, is that some Chrome preferences did not get erased the first time, because I realized that the last install asked my for Chrome being the default browser and to send data to Google, which are the questions that it asks in a fresh install. Just in case, I started it several times and navigated to many pages with no problem.

I ran EtreCheck and clicked on Clean Up, followed the instructions to remove the orphans and like but the problem continued.ДЇinally, I used the find command again, this time with :ДЇind / -name '*google*' -o -name '*Google*' -o -name '*Chrome*' -o -name '*chrome*'ДЄlso, I had Android studio installed so I uninstalled it. I then resumed my Chrome installation but the hang continued. Then rebooted and finally GoToMeeting went away. After two more unsuccessful attempts, i decided to use my knowledge of Unix systems and open a command line terminal. It started, so GoTo Meeting didn't uninstall. I double clicked on the match, just to see if it was a cached named or a real file. After that, back in Spotlight and there it was, again. More than that, I rebooted the machine after emptying the trash.

I then looked into the forums to see what could be the reason why it refused to leave my Mac and found a tip ( How do I remove GoToMeeting?) so I deleted all the files mentioned there. In Spotlight I started to type : goto and there it was. I deleted the program from Applications as usual, but somehow it managed to reappear, not in the Applications folder, but it was still there. I stopped Tunnelblick and attempted to delete GoToMeeting (Citrix) which I actually wasn't using anymore. Well.after a couple of hours, finally looks like it works.
